Our Focus at Marriage & Family Connections…
Marriage & Family Connections is an organization dedicated to one vision: Empowering marriages and families to thrive. To carry out this vision we have set ourselves to the mission of: Creating a community partnership to equip marriages and families for success. We are committed to providing: vital connections, impacting events and relevant resources. Although simple to state, our vision is bigger than any one of us can accomplish on our own – this is what makes our work all the more exciting! Only by trusting in God’s provision, and only by working together as a community, can we see this vision realized.
We accomplished our 2006 goals:
- Establish vital connections with:
- 30 Church Partners (faith-based partners)
- 15 Community Partners (businesses, community organizations, governmental agencies, etc.)
- 200 participating churches
- Complete the Multnomah County Marriage Agreement with 150 churches signed in 2006
- Reduce the divorce rate in Multnomah County by a minimum of 15% within 3-years of the MFA signing
- Plan two impacting events each year (MFC may be the driving engine, a partner, or a “cheerleader” for a particular event)
